Predator Free South Westland

DIRECTOR: Robyn Janes | DOP: Dave Kwant | PRE PRODUCTION: MediaFix | POST PRODUCTION: Vision Co

MediaFix approached us to produce the launch film for Predator Free South Westland as part of our ongoing Predator Free 2050 work. Director Robyn Janes and DOP Dave Kwant shot on location in South Westland — one of New Zealand's most remote and ecologically significant regions.

Getting into South Westland properly requires the right permits, the right equipment, and production experience in remote environments. We hold CAA drone certification and DOC filming permits that make it possible to work in these areas and capture them as they deserve to be captured.

Conservation Storytelling — Remote South Island Film Production

Filming in South Westland and New Zealand's remote conservation environments is a production capability that sets Vision Co apart from the majority of New Zealand film companies. Our ongoing work for Predator Free 2050, the Department of Conservation, and environmental organisations across the South Island reflects a depth of access and sector knowledge that takes years to build. For conservation organisations that need content produced in the places where the work actually happens, we are equipped to do it.
