Tāpui Aotearoa

DIRECTOR: Robyn Janes | DOP: Dave Kwant | PRODUCTION: MediaFix | POST PRODUCTION: Vision Co

Tāpui Aotearoa are creating a genetic cryobank to protect Aotearoa's unique endemic species from extinction. They needed a film to introduce the concept clearly and compellingly. Something that would inform, inspire, and support funding conversations. We worked alongside MediaFix and director Robyn Janes to craft a narrative that balanced scientific detail with emotional storytelling.

This kind of subject matter requires filmmakers who are genuinely interested in what they are filming. A science-based conservation concept aimed at both specialist and general audiences needs to be explained accurately and made compelling at the same time.

Environmental Brand Film Production — New Zealand Conservation Science

Vision Co produces brand and advocacy films for environmental and conservation organisations across New Zealand. Our work spans the The Ministry for the Environment, Department of Conservation, Zero Invasive Predators, Predator Free South Westland, Te Manahuna Aoraki, Predator Free 2050, The Nature Conservancy, and Tāpui Aotearoa. It's a body of conservation film production that reflects both technical capability and genuine engagement with the sector. For organisations with complex science or conservation stories to tell, we produce films that make those stories accessible without dumbing them down.
