Kotahitanga mō te Taiao

DIRECTOR: Robyn Janes | DOP: Dave Kwant | PRODUCTION: MediaFix | POST PRODUCTION: Vision Co

The Department of Conservation needed a film to promote their joint venture with Iwi and councils across the Top of the South. They approached MediaFix, who brought us in to plan the visual narrative and execute the multi-day location shoot. Director Robyn Janes and DOP Dave Kwant shot across locations in the Nelson and Tasman region over several days.

The film needed to speak to government stakeholders, Iwi partners, councils, and the public, all from a single piece of content. Finding a visual language that carries that weight while managing a shoot across a number of locations was challenging but very rewarding.

Government and Conservation Film Production — Top of the South

Vision Co is a regular production partner for government agencies like The Ministry for the Environment and the Department of Conservation, producing brand and communications films across Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and the West Coast. We understand the specific requirements of government and conservation film production. The stakeholder complexity, the care required in sensitive environments, and the production standards that a national agency demands.
